Join our friendly sailing community at Avon Sailing Club. We offer several membership options to suit different needs and circumstances.
Why Join Avon Sailing Club?
Avon Sailing Club offers a welcoming environment for sailors of all abilities. Our club provides:
- Access to our beautiful sailing location on the River Severn
- Use of club facilities including clubhouse and grounds
- Participation in club racing and social events
- Training opportunities for beginners and improvers
- A friendly community of sailing enthusiasts
Whether you're an experienced sailor or completely new to the sport, we have a place for you at Avon Sailing Club.
Membership Categories
Perfect for families who want to enjoy sailing together.
- • Includes two adults and children under 18
- • Includes children under 22 if in full-time education
- • Full-time education includes college/university attendance
- • Apprenticeship programs qualify (including periods in industry)
- • Includes one "year out" before starting education
For individual adult sailors.
- • Single adult over 22 on January 1st
- • Full access to club facilities
- • Participation in all club events and races
For senior members of our sailing community.
- • Up to two adults, with at least one at state pension age
- • Includes children under 18 (or under 22 if in full-time education)
- • Apprenticeship programs qualify
For younger sailing enthusiasts.
- • Single person under 22 on January 1st
- • Those under 18 must be supervised by an adult
- • Great way for young people to develop sailing skills
For those with specific circumstances.
- • Members of other RYA clubs living over 50 miles away
- • University or college students
- • Limited access to club facilities
Visitors/Temporary Members
For short-term visits to the club.
- • Members can bring up to two guests
- • Guests limited to four visits per year
- • Must sign visitors book

Additional Fees
In addition to membership fees, the following may apply:
- • Boat Registration fee
- • British Waterways Licence
- • Club boat usage fees
- • Mooring fees (if applicable)
- • Camping fees (for overnight stays)
Membership Year
Our membership year runs from January to December. Please contact our Membership Secretary for current fee information.
How to Join
Joining Avon Sailing Club is easy! Follow these steps:
- Download and complete the membership application form
- Submit your completed form to our Membership Secretary
- Pay the appropriate membership fee
- Start enjoying all the benefits of being an Avon Sailing Club member!
